The Best Yoga DVDs

Yoga is by far one of the ancient world’s blissful gifts to the modern world. Yoga is usually said to be a way of life instead of just a collection of exercises. It is indeed the union of the mind and the body.

In attaining spiritual oneness, Yoga is only the first step. The steps in the specific order are given below:
Step One: Yoga – conditioning the body
Step Two: Pranayama – conditioning Prana (breath)
Step Three: Meditation – conditioning the Mind to attain spiritual oneness

Although Yoga is best taught by an experienced guru, here are a few suggestions of the best yoga DVDs.

1. Yoga Shakti

This DVD was created by Shiva Rea, a Yogic exponent from India. The specialty of this DVD is its adjustment for beginner, experienced and advanced practitioners. It follows the Vinyasa type of Yoga and has a soothing music to help make your movements seem effortless.

2. Kundalini Yoga for beginners and beyond

Kundalini awakening is a tricky phenomenon and must only be attempted by advanced practitioners and guidance and monitoring received from a more advanced practitioner is strongly recommended. This DVD has 2 sections of 25 minutes each and deals with the topic rather professionally.

Tummy Trimming That Works: Safe and Natural

Here, we attempt to dwell upon 3 specific techniques that seem to work wonders. First up, here are the advantages of this approach:
a.    These are completely safe and natural.
b.    The procedures outlined are extremely simple and cost-effective.

I Cannot Wait To Hear IT!

Well, then, here we go.

1.    Using Lavana Thailam

What can be said in a significantly assertive tone, is that the ingredients of this formulation target to burn excess fat. Well, how does the formulation know how much is in excess, you may ask. Although this article cannot speak for the creators of this formulation, there are a few points that come up upon doing some research. Just like how an allopathic practitioner recommends the strength of a certain drug to be taken depending upon the medical condition, the age, gender and other illnesses, similarly an Ayurvedic practitioner prescribes it for you. It is available as an OTC medicine but the user should accept the risk of any side-effects.

The procedure is simple: apply the prescirbed amount of the formulation wherever you want reduce the flab 15 minutes before taking bath. Gently foment the area with lukewarm water and you are done!

2.    Increased Activity

Walk for around 15 minutes at least 3 days a week. It does not matter whether you walk in the morning or night; just walk. This supports your Lavana Thailam very well.

3.    Abdominal Crunches

This last technique is an established one and is known to work wonders. However, people shy away from this because it requires a concerted, consistent and long-standing effort.

The first 2 techniques are a must to be done on a daily basis at least for a few months or till you start to see improvements. The final technique could act as a catalyst and speed-up the process.

a.    Lie on your back on the floor. Use a mat and never use a mattress.
b.    Slowly lift your left leg till it is at a right angle with your abdomen.
c.    Lower it.
d.    Now lift your right leg till it is at a right angle with your abdomen.
e.    Lower it.
f.    Repeat the above steps for 15-20 times.
g.    Now lift both your legs at the same time and lower them.
h.    Repeat this for 5-10 times.

This appears to be a very simplistic exercise but when done for a long term, definitely works wonders.

I Am Not Impressed; This Is Not Fascinating!

We are addicted to taking the glamorous route even though something inside tells us that it is a waste of time and energy. When contrasted with all this, this 3-point approach is extremely simple, relative inexpensive and is sure to work wonders. Try it and you will not be disappointed.

Colon Cleansing: The Unwanted Ritual

The human body is the most intricate machine man has ever come across: the mammoth network of nerves, the never-ending muscle groups and fibers, blood, the complex vital organs… the list is endless. However, all these organs do their duty in billions of humans every day, every minute, every second and everything is done quietly.

There are some activities done by the human body internally, which seldom cannot be replicated. One such thing is colon cleansing. It is sometimes irritating that there has been so much talk and hype about such a normal happening; it becomes abnormal only in a small percentage of the population. Does anybody talk about how to breathe or how to urinate? It is the esoteric subject that scammers capitalize on for their petty designs to rake in the moolah!

What In The World Is Colon Cleansing?

First of all, colon is the word that refers to a portion of the large intestine. Colon cleansing is removal of fecal matter and other toxins. It is but a thoroughly normal procedure done day in and day out by the internal organs. It simply does not need external intervention.

Why Is There So Much Noise About It, Then?

Well, talk of the evil designs of scammers that go greedier by the day! Will you buy a device that will help you breathe or urinate of perhaps a pump that will help you swallow what you eat? I mean, colon cleansing in a normal healthy adult is as ridiculous as some of my suggestions above.

Of course, this is a groundwork that needs to be done before a complex procedure such as colonoscopy, but certainly not otherwise. Scammers make it look so compelling that you start believing, “Oh! Thank god I came across this procedure; my Colon could have contracted a disease if not for it”. This is as meaningless as saying perhaps, “Oh! Thank god I came across this procedure; my throat would have forgotten how to swallow, if not for it”.

Who Needs External Colon Cleansing?

As explained in the previous section, external colon cleansing is needed by people who have a certain medical condition in their colo-rectal region and are in need of some tests to be performed. Even in those cases, this procedure is to be done by a certified and experienced specialist and not by your local medical store person.

If you have any symptoms that worries you, approach a general physician, who will refer you to the appropriate specialist. There is absolutely no necessity for you to even know the name of the procedure or the equipment used in the procedure. Be aware that such ads are specifically designed at only one thing: relieving you of your hard-earned money!

The next time you see a product that promises 100% colon cleansing at the lowest price, you know what to do!

Disclaimer: This article is aimed at spreading awareness and cannot obviously stand in for expert medical advice and guidance, as this is a branch of medicine that needs the highest levels of expertise. Consulting a qualified medical practitioner using the appropriate procedure is the only working solution and you are urged to do so.
